It is now 4 years on from having my implant so where am I and how is it going?

After many trips back and forth to my consultant (who is amazing by the way) we have agreed that I have chronic pain due to my jaw and that's that.  He has done everything surgically possible, so now it's about looking on the bright side and managing the pain.  You know what?  I'm fine with that.  You see and hear of so much pain and suffering from wars, disasters etc and thus in the grand scheme of things I am simply thankful; thankful that I don't have the cancer they suspected when this all began, thankful that I can still cope with 3 days a week working without passing out or wanting to vomit from the pain, and thankful that I was so very fortunate to have an amazing consultant willing to treat me and reduce my pain during a COVID epidemic.

So yes, while I do struggle daily with pain, made worse by prolonged periods of talking - which I do for a living plus am naturally a chatterbox - I'm ok...I'm grateful.
