Robin's Fire

`Robin’s Fire’ is a historical adventure book aimed at 5 – 9 year olds. It is historical fiction with a deeply adventurous element and detailed descriptions, providing characters children can relate to whilst encouraging empathy and exploration of the thoughts and feelings of those living at the time of the disaster.   Created to be used alongside the school topic of `The Great Fire’ or for home reading.

Synopsis:

The city is on fire.  All around homes are burning, flames crackle hungrily as they devour buildings and the heat singes the skin.  Breathing is virtually impossible.

Robyn's Fire tells the story of a boy who is forced to fight and survive the greatest, most terrifying fire that has ever hit London.   Brought up in the Tower of London with the famous menagerie animals as his friends, and companion to Samuel Pepys he must do all he can to prevent the spread of the devastation and save his great city.  Join Robyn and his animal friends on their journey through danger, rescues, and even a meeting with the King himself!
